Welcomed with Song and Dance

Greetings from Kinshasa. Today we were blessed in so many ways. After a good night’s sleep, we shared breakfast together and then reviewed the plan for the next 10 days along with the expectations for our time in the DRC. After lunch we drove to the Camp Luka CarePoint and were welcomed with song and dance. We then were able to tour the facility and hear not only how God has been working here, but also how the Christ’s Hope Staff is dreaming about God expanding the ministry in the years ahead to address the need. After a stop at the Moni-mart, we were hosted at Glenn and Esther’s for supper with Elodie preparing crèpes. After learning about Glenn and Esther’s call to the DRC, we each in turn shared how God called us to this team and rejoiced together on how God calls each of us in different amazing ways. Thanks for your continued prayers as we prepare for Day Camp with the children at each of the four Care Points next week. Also pray that we can be an encouragement to the Caretakers who have devoted their lives to serve these children. May Jesus Christ be praised in all that is said and done here.
